The Gift: A Poetry Residency at Indianola with Cynthia Amoah

The Gift follows a poetry residency led by teaching artist Cynthia Amoah, where students discovered the power of words to tell their stories, explore new ideas, and see one another with greater empathy. Through intimate classroom moments and honest reflection, we crafted a documentary that celebrates creativity as a catalyst for confidence, connection, and personal growth. The film is a reminder that sometimes the greatest lessons are found not in the answers, but in giving young people the space to find their own voice.
